Organization for SETV Research

The primary goal of the Organization for SETV Research (OSR) is to provide a framework in which to conduct research by professional scientists and engineers, who are interested in a data-oriented study of extraterrestrial intelligence as it relates to contact with or visits by interstellar probes to the solar system and Earth. Another mission objective is to advance the measurement technology, methods and processes needed to collect data that is unambiguous and reliable so humanity can make progress in an understanding of possible contact with ETI probes.

The SETV customer is the global scientific and engineering communities, and anyone else (non-scientists) who are curious about the significance of ETI probe visitations from a technical and/or social aspect.

The SETV product is scientifically measured data collected with field instrumentation in a calibrated and well-controlled way, and with a completely objective attitude toward the results. The SETV organization holds the belief that there is scientific and social value in sharing all its data in an open and honest way. Another product of SETV Research is a forum where open discussions and analysis of the data can take place in a moderated and peer reviewed environment.
